1300 Lafayette East is a mid-century high-rise designed by Gunner Birkets under Minoru Yamasaki; the full-scale gut renovation sought to simultaneously give a nod to the original vision of the space and instill a modern, timeless appeal by opening up rooms, enlarging the space, building out and installing custom cabinets and countertops in the kitchen, and establishing clean lines and sophisticated tones that complement the colors reflected across the river.
